In 2009, as reject semiconductor wafers became scarce, the company ramped up its capacity to 30MWp to process solar grade wafers by setting up a turnkey state-of-the-art line from Centrotherm, Germany and 30MWp state-of-the-art module assembly line from NPC, Japan . Both lines were set up in a new facility in the SEZ zone in Falta, West Bengal. We achieved cell efficiency of 17.2% in mono crystalline wafers and produced 240 Wp modules. This was among the best levels achieved worldwide during that time. Every year more lines were being added and by 2015 and capacity expanded to 250MW cell line and 250MWp fully automated state-of-the-art module assembly line was set up to convert the cells made into solar panels.

The company is aligned its mission with government of India objectives to generate 300 GW of power from Solar PV by 2030 and reduce carbon emissions by one billion tonnes by the end of the decade .To address growing need of solar cells and Modules in domestic and international market , the company is expanding solar modules capacity to 550MW and solar cells capacity to 2.4 GW solar cells in two phases .First phase comprise of 600 MW solar cells and 550 MW solar Modules and second phase comprises of 1.8 GW solar cells.

Our top management is continuously putting efforts since 1994 by provide electricity to remote areas through off grid solutions , exploring new market to increase customer base for Solar PV ,increase cell efficiency through process improvement & technical collaboration with advance photovoltaic research institutes , and developing technical skills in fresh engineers through on job training and advance technical training by subject experts . At present 300 plus highly engaged employees are working in production planning , cells and modules manufacturing, maintenance, utilities and electrical to deliver high efficiency solar cells and modules in agreed time line .
